tya & arryk in scooby-doo
Gracious sakes alive! It was difficult to run in heels. Tya rounded the corner of the ‘haunted’ house and came face to face with her cousin. They both screamed. Together, they decided to lean up against the wall and catch their breath. It seemed that Arryk had found something down the other hallway, which meant there was no other direction to go.
“I told you that splitting up was a bad idea, splitting up is always a bad idea. I’ll bet anything that Willem and Seph are tied up as we speak.”
“Splitting up is always a good plan!” He retorted and stood upright again. He offered a hand out to Tya which she gracious took. “Now, we need a new plan. Preferably one that gets us past the ghost down the hall.”
“There’s another ghost down this hallway.” Tya said. “But surely it’s not a real ghost. It never is.” They’d been doing this for years- solving mysteries. Mystery Inc. was built for this exact purpose, and yet, it never got any easier. “There should be a laundry shoot a little ways back. We should slide down it and see where we end up.” Every haunted mansion, every creepy factory, every spooky carnival ended with a con-man unmasked, but chills sent up and down her spine.
“Down the laundry shoot, out the back door, and regroup at the Mystery Machine.” Arryk squeezed her hand and nodded. “Let’s go.”
Because the truth was, it wasn’t the ghouls that were scary. The truly frightening thing was the men behind the masks.
