You know if you buy the quote unquote new skyrim this gives Todd even more reason NOT to make tes 6, right? He keeps saying he keeps doing this cuz people keep fuckin buyin it again and again

Okay, I was just gonna reply with a meme but I got too much to say about this.

First, yes, the re-release is a bit ridiculous considering all the other re-releases we've gotten. But, I do still appreciate the consideration they've put into this particular release to celebrate a game so many people have enjoyed and still enjoy to this day. They aren't changing much it looks like, just some new content and maybe some technical stuff, so that means this release is easy for them to do. Right now they are working on other big name games other than TES 6, such as Starfield. They only have so many people to work on so many games, and it seems like they've put TES on the backburner for now to work on newer IPs.

Additionally, the more pressure fans make on Bethesda to release TES 6 RIGHT NOW means more pressure on those working on the game, which results in games being rushed and employees being overworked (see: cyberpunk and fallout 76). A game taking forever is, at least to me, better than risking the health of those putting their time and devotion into a game that I am looking forward to.

Also, I've never seen Todd specifically say he isn't releasing 6 because he's making so much bank on Skyrim (if someone has a source for this, please send it my way!) Sure. I've seen memes about it. But I haven't seen Todd himself saying it.

In conclusion, let me enjoy buying my millionth copy of a game I adore and that has helped me through dark times. I don't care if others buy it or not. I don't care if people think it's a bad idea to do another release. I don't entirely agree it's a good idea myself, but hell if I'm gonna let others dictate if I want to buy it or not.

Something that’s been bothering me....

All these people talking about how they hate the two-party system, and how third party candidates are the only FAIR candidates, and how everything is rigged at every election, and how being made to vote on an either/or basis is voter intimidation, and how they’re going to vote by write-in or abstain altogether to protest an unfair political process....

WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU PEOPLE BETWEEN ELECTION YEARS?

Seriously! Why is it that we only hear about this stuff when it’s time to choose our elected officials? Why is it that people only want to protest the system DURING elections, when it’s the LEAST likely to do any good, and only ends up hamstringing the process?

If the only time you have anything to say about political process is when you’re whining about it during election years, then honey, you’re not a rebel. You’re a contrarian. And more than likely, you’re privileged enough to be in a position where (as far as you know) the result of this election won’t affect you.

Spoiler Alert: It will affect you. And it will affect the lives of people you know, in very real and very significant ways.

You want change? Then vote for the candidate who’s going to make the most positive difference. Vote for the candidate who’s going to move the country in the direction you most agree with. Vote for somebody who’s going to elect Supreme Court Justices with progressive attitudes. Vote for somebody who actually has a proper chance to get ELECTED.

(And don’t give me that Third Party nonsense. I lived through the Ralph Nader debacle. It doesn’t work. If you’re voting third party, you’re taking away support that keeps Trump out of the White House. And don’t tell me “but you can’t ASSUME those votes would be for Hillary,” because the GOP does not HAVE a party divide, and not a damn person who’s talking about voting Independent or Libertarian would ever support Trump if they HAD to choose between the candidates.)

You all remember how Obama seemed like a goddamn savior back in 2008? He was LESS PROGRESSIVE when he was elected than Hillary Clinton is RIGHT EFFING NOW. Obama became MORE progressive over the course of his Presidency and changed his stance on several important issues for the better. It’s completely conceivable that, given her track record, Clinton will do the same.

Is Trump gonna change his ways to help anyone but himself? Not fucking likely.

But I digress.

Vote for Senators and State Reps whose stances you can work with too, ‘cause it’s not just about the Presidency. We’ve seen very clearly in the past eight years that if Congress doesn’t fall in line, the President isn’t going to get anything done. You want laws passed? You want legislation to move through? Get some people in the House and the Senate who are going to do their goddamn JOBS. Vote for a Speaker of the House who’s going to light fires under those chairs and work WITH the People instead of against us.

You want change? Get off your ass and MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Don’t just sit around whining about how things are unfair because you can’t be bothered to see the difference between an imperfect career politician and a racist megalomaniac who hasn’t even bothered to learn the job description.

Come tomorrow morning, one of them WILL be our President Elect.

GO VOTE!!!!
