The statement in parentheses just isn’t true. If someone is being harassed à la transmisogyny, saying “actually, I’m tme” isn’t going to make a difference. The harasser isn’t going to say “sorry, I thought you were tma” and then stop.

i mean if i was harassinng someone for something annd they said they weren't that id probably stop. maybe we've had differennt experiences and seen different things and there's no one situation that always plays out the same way no matter what. there are definitely situations where a tme person leveraging their exemption didn't help them but i would ocnsider those to be less common. mayb thats just me

You don’t need to hold privilege to be able to perpetuate transmisogyny.

Trans women aren’t privileged over trans men and can still perpetuate transandrophobia.

Hell, trans men can be transandrophobic and trans women can be transmisogynistic.

Even if you believe transmisogyny is worse, and even if you believe trans men hold privilege over trans women, those things aren’t necessary in order for trans men to be able to be transmisogynistic. The way you’ve structured your point seems to make it out as though only those privileged over others can perpetuate bigotry against them.
