It's funny because even them aren't believing their "divorced" script anymore trying to romanticize Irene being generally indifferent or annoyed at Wendy. Before we would have had at least a year of cold war era theories for Irene refusing to do fan service once. Then we had a few days of them being happy about a wenrene interaction before calling Irene a bitch when they realized they couldn't pretend it was a romantic interaction anymore like when Irene told Wendy they were all going to celebrate NYE together and she wasn't invited.
Like who doesn't tell their girlfriend that they have plans for NYE, what those plans are and directly plan it to spend it with them.
