‘ time to kick my own ass. bitch had it coming for too long ’ elle
well, it’s half a relief.
the sight of Elle, hair pulled back and sweats and hands strapped ready for a fight, is certainly not something that Spencer is prepared for of a morning. the thought that she might be intending to make him fight too is frankly alarming.
(Derek tried it, more than once; Spencer even went so far as to bring the printed proof of the special dispensation he’d been granted at the academy for his… lack of prowess. Derek hadn’t accepted it as an excuse. Spencer had felt bruised for days, pride and person.)
then he frowns.
“I don’t think that’s –” but she’s already pushing past him. he turns and stares helplessly as she strides towards the gym. “don’t kick your own ass too hard!” he calls out after her, and then grins a stricken grin at hotch, who’s just appeared from behind the elevator doors and his fixed him with a quizzical look. he readjusts his bag across his shoulder, and hurries after her, words at a harsh whisper to avoid any further odd looks.
“Elle! Elle! What happened to ‘self-care’? Elle!”
