#project hail mary #ryland grace #rocky #project hail mary spoilers #Celebrating the first week of the PHM movie with a silly comic.#Wiping a tear of joy in my eyes to see how many people have been out to see this movie and enjoyed it!#I started relistening to the PHM audiobook and it's been amazing for my productivity.#Originally I had Grace standing in front of a classroom on Erid at the end...but then I did my research on Shrimp Colours...#Sad to know they can't actually see all those colours.#But we do know lots of other species (like pollinators and fish) who are looking at the world with expanded range of light.#And we do see lots of things that even other visual creatures cannot see. Three colour cones! Some animals have none at all!#I love stories and science facts that allow me to pause and think about the nature of existence as something worth examining.#And I really cannot recommend PHM enough. I'm almost sad to have been making comics and put spoilers out there.#I love how hopeful and full of love this story is. I love how the depths of scientific and personal curiosity intermingle.#Being curious is one of the most wonderful things in the universe.#And when it all seems dark and hopeless...Love will always be there.

AHAHHAHAH I'M SO HAPPY! I've feel like I've de-aged a full decade.

so in the last 2-3 years, I've gone from someone who works out every day and has a fairly active lifestyle, to someone who's housebound (and occasionally bed bound) because of an autoimmune disease eating my bones, joints, organs and skin. which hurts exactly as much as you think it would hurt.

but after one week of Cosentyx, it's like I'm back in my twenties. today I went downtown, had a Mother's Day lunch, came home, worked, did a few household chores, went thirty minutes on the elliptical, and then set up for an evening of cycling on my exercise bike while gaming with friends online.

do you know what my day would have looked like before?? uber downtown -> feel like I'm going to pass out -> not talk to my family because I'm in too much physical pain to speak pleasantly -> uber home -> sleep until the next day without brushing my teeth or bathing.

I'm still very weak, because my muscles have dissolved from multiple years of lying in bed all day, but hey!!! there will be a future! I didn't feel like I had a future, before.

Disability is not a punishment, but I think the world would be genuinely improved if every person involved in writing or regulating ingredient labels was mysteriously inflicted with at least one food allergy falling under each of the following categories: "natural flavors," "modified food starch," "artificial flavors," "spices," and "color." Down with ingredient labels so vague that they defeat the entire fucking point.
