I was bothered by the fact that when the Doctor broke through Ruth’s chameleon arch persona in that cathedral scene, it manifested in this super aggressive, seemingly non-doctory way but I’ve just rewatched and sure the switch is triggered by Lee’s text but you know what else happens right before?
she sees the footage of Lee getting shot
and suddenly that aggression seems A Lot More Doctor like
