Bluebird - Modessa (1971)

Bluebird were a folk-rock band from Mercer Island, Washington.  They seemed to have been influenced by the Byrds, which is no bad thing.  Like Crosby, they also seem to have been obsessed by sailing ships.

also now that i think of it the hotel room for the cover art makes perfect sense?? like, it’s a transient space, somewhere you visit but don’t plan to stay, just like the relationship in the song isn’t built to last
