She never learnt to make her teeth chatter, no matter how cold she got. Eventually just supposed some people were born with it, like others move their ears at will or twist their tongues -- latter one that she can do, along with toying with cherry stems, but she's one hundred percent sure that her tongue will freeze if she dares take it out. But it's also a bit of too-human pride what keeps her from risking it and saying outloud how cold she is, muscles tight and shivering limbs. The sight was lovely and she didn't want to break the moment with some weakness the Doctor was probably immune to.
