honestly beth and jerry have maybe my second favourite relationship in the entire show just for how interesting and tragic it is. like its brushed aside a lot in favour of other stuff but they were really both just kids... and the saddest part about them is that they maybe do love each other but its always in some way artificial

i’m actually really surprised (although maybe i shouldn’t be) about how people are treating dream’s reaction to the ace race reset so harshly? of course there were ways he could’ve handled it better and i think he would agree, but the way people paint it you’d think he spent the rest of the event raging about how big bad noxcrew is being unfair to the amazing perfect dream again, when that’s just.. not what happened

he was confused and upset that his fairly earned first place run was being voided and he got a much lower placement on the second try (and every single participant would be too), it tanked his mood for the next game and he made like, two? three? jokes about it in chat, but even when he felt so badly he was basically just giving up in hitw he muted to complain so as not to further bum out the team and gave roughly seven thousand disclaimers about loving mcc and the noxcrew and understanding it was a tough choice to make (while still being on an emotional high and not knowing all the facts of the situation)

yes he’s an emotional person who can get too competitive and say things he doesn’t mean (like claiming noxcrew reset because of their biases towards certain players) but it takes literally two seconds of taking off your hate goggles to see that he’s just saying shit out of frustration in something he deeply cares about, a normal human emotion and reaction. people have so much shit to say about dream but it’s abundantly clear they’ve never actually watched him or care enough to give him the same empathy they’d show any other player (except maybe sapnap— wonder what the connection is there) and well! isn’t that hypocritical
