-the camera jerks a little, like bad footing, before focusing on a news anchor lady, her suit tight and dark blue, a microphone in her hands, her hair pulled back into a tight bun; there is chaos around her, loud honking, a giant red vehicle, people shouting and water spraying- “good morning, this is jung seyeon with channel 5 news, here on the site of a house fire that has engulfed one of the massive estates in pyeongchang-dong. the fire department has already arrived and is combating the flames, still trying to get occupants to safety and put out the seat of the fire before it manages to spread to any more of the other buildings or causes any more damage. so far the flames have claimed three buildings and 4 lives.
“only moments ago, one of the neighbors awoke and smelled smoke, immediately calling the police, thinking it was their own house until they reached outside. by the time help got here however, it was almost already too late. as you can see behind me,” -cut to a blackened, smoking western-styled mansion, still very much on fire and covered in flames despite the water being poured over it by the firefighters- “they're still having some trouble containing the blaze, and they have not managed to get anyone safely out of the house so far.
“reports are saying this is the residence of the wealthy mr. and mrs. kim, joint owners of a successful, international hotel chain, and that they were at home asleep in their bed by the end of last night. we're unclear at this time whether they managed to make it out or not, but their deaths have not been confirmed as of yet. no word either on the whereabouts of their only son, or whether he was inside with them or not. we'll keep you updated as this story progresses.”
