Petal after petal slowly glid through the air, closer to the ground for each second that passed.
And perhaps, as another handful of petals were thrown to the ground, you could feel a sense of comfort. How the petals remained beautiful despite being trampled over by the small children, despite being plucked from their origin. How they all look beautiful in essence and as individuals, yet complement each other.
How one can be so beautiful without needing another. That’s why, you believe, that you could manage to fight back the teardrops of sorrow as Seokjin smiled at the lady in front of him.
The rings were exchanged and their vows had been completed. He grinned widely, just like how you had come to love, but instead it was directed towards her. He looked beautiful in his white suit, red tie and long hair (you always told him longer hair fit him very well). In his speech, he mentions your name as a thank you; and that’s when you realise that perhaps in his eyes you saw infinity; an infinite amount of love and existence; and while it ached your burning heart, you smiled at him back.
Because his eyes held infinity, just not for you.
