her heart pounded, making her way to her brothers front door. mel guessed jez probably told him she was back in town, but even if she didn’t kai was another family member - another sibling she’d lost contact with. she had no idea how he’d react to her, jez was a bit of an obvious one. despite her worry she hoped he may be the same as always, she had a little holiday gift in hand to ease the surprise if there were any and to ease her guilt. everything seemed to be building to this moment now, staring at his door for a long moment before finally knocking.
