the writers gave up on ketch and it makes me mad

ok i got some thoughts on this

so ive only season s12, s13, s14 once- minus unfinished business in s13 (ive seen it more times than i'd like to admit) bc uwu gabey wabey. i might have big gaps in my memory or not fully remember a lot of shit- but that's probably mostly my memory being super fuckin whack!

i feel like arthur could've gone the way mick davies was going and gotten a much better storyline.

from what i remember, arthur is loyal to who he's working for (if u ignore the whole asmodeus thing) and i don't remember if he went to the BMoL school or even if we ever found out but if he did that would explain a lot about why he is how he is

he's been labeled a psychopath and i dont know enough about psychopathy to disprove that or not but i think that he's a good person deep down inside.

he helped rowena escape the BMoL's captivity back in the day, which was largely for his own agenda (and the same can be argued ab saving gabe) but a pattern was established. he saved dean in apocalypse world, too. it may or may not have been out of the goodness of his heart, but it shows he cared enough to help them

by the end of s13, the winchesters definitely rubbed off on arthur- he was being a pretty good person imho

i think that side of him could've been explored more in season 14- also i really wanted him and jack to have some scenes

im hoping in season 15 he is in more episodes because i miss him a lot and hate that they just kinda mentioned him once and never again

he deserved a much more in depth storyline, but i know that it'd be a hassle to fit it into the main plot so i'll just suffer, i suppose

i dont see a reason to give up on his character tbh bc there was so much more they could've done w him

and that's my thoughts on that.
