When it gets dark, you can sometimes see an Ampharos's tail from far away on an ocean's surface, and because it is this bright Ampharos tend to keep it off.
Ampharos give off so much light sometimes it can even be seen from space.
People in the past used to use Ampharos's tail light to send messages back and forth with others far away.
Ampharos's tail has long been prized as a beacon amongst sailors.
