Me: The Digimon Adventure + 02 US dub?? What a boring dub I *trips* *multiples of VHS tapes of the Digimon US dub spill from my Digimon backpack* f*CK those aren't mine i swear i'm just holding them for a friend i- *slips on a pile of 2000s~2010 era VHS tapes all lovingly labelled with "DIGIMON!" in various colors of markers* f* ck NO they're not mine i HATE it these dubs are terrible and i dont even like ALL the voice actors i just- *more VHS tapes fall out as i fall to my knees, desperately trying to pick them up even though I no longer have a VHS player to play them in, though I somehow still mysteriously have a VHS rewinder that works and yET* hang on a sec jUst LISTEN

Some things of note: - Koushiro is still Koushiro (one ‘u’ at start, one ‘o’ at end) - Grades actually got mentioned! (4th for Koushiro, 6th for Jou, and 2nd for Takeru are all J.P.N. canon) - Taichi still has “Kamiya” but also “Taichi” - The “July” reference might be because of an opening dub quote (“In the middle of July”) - Lots of dub-esque humor / direct quotes in these too - A slight preview of “before the camp”, which wasn’t in Ep01 (technically also happens in the J.P.N. novel, one has to wonder what made them include it here too...) - even Takeru’s name is here despite T.K. - “Matt was walking towards them, probably looking for Sora”... {Dub Foreshadowing} - “Joe” is still “Joe”, but that’s kind of happened with the J.P.N. too (“Jo” instead of “Jyou”, etc) Also, his grade that gets mentioned was actually correct too.
