Vivi shouldn’t have been surprised that in her procrastination to get a dress for this wedding that James already had one prepared for her just because they both knew she was dreading that. It wasn’t because she didn’t like dresses, but the moment that Vivi put on the dress and her hands running over the glittered tulle that reminded her of the night sky that she would swim under, she couldn’t help but wonder if this would be one of her many plainer dresses. Would going to weddings as an invited guest, not someone sneaking in to rob the people, would be a normal occasion for her as Victoria Young. She enjoyed, no, she loved how it felt to have the skirt move around her and the sparkle catching the moonlight. She took one more moment to just enjoy it before slipping her dagger into its sheath on her thigh and walked out to meet James. The smile slipped from her face and she tried to hide her excitement to see a very cleaned up James. “So you do know what water and soap are.”
