Let me just tell you how my day went and what happened last night
So last night, I didn't get to stay up until 11pm. My dad said that we could at first, but at around 10:16, he was all, "No! You have school tomorrow!". So we had to sleep at 10:30. But I was still keeping my word on secretly staying up late. I used my "backup" ipod to keep myself awake. I was planning to play my DS after everyone slept. (My mom was going to wake up before 12 and welcome in the new year and pray or something.) So I listened to a few songs, and I must have fell asleep on one because I woke up at like 3 or 4 minutes (3) before 12. I was amazed. I drank some water because I was still pretty sick and didn't want to cough real loud. Then I heard some footsteps in the hallway, so I tried to act tired and pretended to just wake up and drink water; I thought it was my dad, which freaked me out even more. But it was my mom, and I put my thumbs up. She told me to shhhh-ush up and she was going to go out and welcome in the new year. And I pretended to go back to sleep and turned off my ipod. After she left, I was alone in the dark under the table. Suddenly, the clock hit 12 and I heard firecrackers. I partied silently and listened to the beautiful noise of the firecrackers cracking. At around 12:03, my mom came back in and I loudly whispered, "HAPPY NEW YEAR!". She obviously didn't want to wake up my dumb brother so she shhh-ushed me again and told me to go back to sleep cause she was going back to sleep. Then I laid there, listening to even more firecrackers wondering where they came from. I mean, my neighborhood doesn't even have Asians, except for like Co Thanh, but that's near me, of course. There are Asians in the far back of the neighborhood, and I heard the crackers so closely. After the firecrackers, I fell back to sleep.
BUT BEFORE THAT, we were at Michael's. We played Black Ops on the computer and they didn't let me play cause I was a girl ... I EVEN KNEW HOW TO PLAY, THEY JUST DIDN'T GIVE ME A CHANCE. THAT'S NOT FAIR. We were kinda bored because almost everyone was sick. Me, Richard, and Di Mai too? Yeah so Richard laid on the top bunk with his ipod the whole time and I was playing with John, who was playing on my ipod! aahhhhhhhhhhh so cute he was doodling on it. And Loretta didn't even wanna be there. I also ate a lot of pasta and those shrimp chips. Yum, pasta! At the end, when everyone went home, Brian broke a hanger that was hanging on the top bunk. He was on the bottom bunk and "fighting" with Arthur. So Brian was pulling on it, and then it broke and one of the pieces hit Michael's head, which he screamed in pain. Brian accused me of breaking it. Then I settled in court. I was the judge, and Brian put the blame on us. Arthur told him that he had to tell Di Mai or WE or THEY'd tell her. So Arthur tried tricking Brian into admitting his own mistake. I even called a witness to the stand, Michael! He was laughing so hard, and gave us a testimony on how he was just on the computer playing Empire and then something hit his head! Then I was like, WE MAY NOW CROSS EXAMINE. But then Brian eventually did tell, and all was fine. Then they were like, "TOLD YOU!". Then we moved outside to prove Brian "GUILTY". So I mimiced the sound of the gavel. "BRIAN PHAM IS GUILTY! COURT IS ADJOURNED!" Then we went outside to the living room cause we were about to leave. Arthur was like, "WE SHOULD SENTENCE HIM SOMETHING, BUT WHAT?! OH YES, I SENTENCE YOU 700 HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE!" and Michael and I laughed so hard. Then there was a fight in the courtroom with guns and axes and the accused was the victim and Brian cried and I kept pounding the gavel but no one gave order until we had to clean up. I pounded the gavel, a hammer and court was adjourned. Oh my god it was so funny no words can explain okay!?
Anyways, back to "present time".
Grr, I woke up at a normal time in the morning but we still rushed. And grrr, again, I HAD to go to school. Sigh. It was so empty at school. Later, Jessica came and told me that Nadia, a really annoying (no racism or anything intended) white girl was going to be on the announcements and talking about Chinese/ Vietnamese New Year. Then Jessica was all like, "MRS. MARSHALL WAS ASKING US WHO WANTED TO DO THE ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR TOMORROW. OH, I WAS GOING TO DO IT BUT I WAS LIKE MAYBE ANOTHER ASIAN WILL DO IT SO I WAS LIKE NO BUT NOW THAT I KNOW NADIA IS DOING IT THEN I SHOULD HAVE DONE IT!!!!!!!!!". Sigh maybe you should have done it. Then she was all saying that when Nadia comes up and pronounces "Chuc Mung Nam Moi", Jessica will laugh. Oh oh, and before that, Mrs. Pittman came up to me cause I was sitting on the bench, and Jessica was right beside me, and then she was like, "Diane, we need your help decorating more posters and it'll take about 2 weeks... Where's Allison?" and then I told her that I will tell Allison too, and SUDDENLY; "..Oh, and you can help too, you are...?" "Jessica" Jessica said. and my heart wanted to sink. She can't help with us! It's only Allison and I or nothing!
In cooking, yes, Nadia talked on the announcements. She was like, "Happy Chinese New Years lion dancing money envelope red etc CHUC MUNG NAM MOI" and I snorted. Then Mana and I talked about Nadia and how she wanted to do the announcements. Then we watched Mrs. Hawthorne demo "Fried Rice" for us. I sat in the middle of Mana and Tony because Tony had to scoot up. I was afraid that we wouldn't get any rice cause we were whispering and he kept making me grin widely and I heard him speak "Asian". We were also taking notes of what Mrs. Hawthorne was doing "invisibly". Oh yeah, and she forgot the sesame oil, but it still tasted great! Even though I hate vegetables. We copied the recipe, then went to history where I wanted to draw something for this holiday. I "finished" in 4th but I wish I could draw. After we got out, I told Allison that Jessica was going to help but I said that I hope she is going to forget. Then Allison complained how she didn't like Jessica too, and I said that she was an "Asian overload" and we agreed and high five'd. Allison and I high five'd a total of 6 times but for 5 reasons. I haven't gotten so many in a day! But she told us to not complain and worry because it's new years. And good grief, homework in math? I still needa do that... We did circuits in PE, and I'm pretty sure Nida and I could have done 5 if Mrs. Benson didn't talk to Mrs. White. And thanks to Josh and kinda, yeah Jervie for helping me finish my homework in Language Arts so I could finish this post ♥
