TV Times (Anglia edition) for the week 31 July to 6 August 1976.
The Wild Bunch cover, artist unknown. This is the only place I've ever seen this art so I'm assuming it was commissioned for this issue. I'm wondering if this was the debut for this movie on UK television?
Action cover dated 6 August 1977. The comic that wasn't banned although many like to claim it was.
The issue included a 4 page Spinball booklet including this handy feature on the main characters. This strip really did have some memorable character names. At this point the team were known as Kneagle's Eagles although I remember them better in their Battle Action incarnation as the Black Gladiators.
I think there is more than a hint of Roger Moore in the drawing of Breed on this cover.

Battle Picture Weekly No. 85, dated 16 October 1976. The "explosive news" on the cover was that the title would be merging with Valiant as of the next issue. Inside there was also news that we would see Major Eazy's earlier adventures.
The Major Eazy cover by Carlos Ezquerra is another one of those cover images that has been reused umpteen times including on the cover of No. 431, dated 6 August 1983 with the cigar subtly removed.
The cover art may have been inspired by a movie poster for The Outlaw Josey Wales which had been released in the UK September 1976.
