So last Sunday I went to Rice University for Explore Rice. I arrived alone and a little over an hour early so I had to walk around for a bit to keep me occupied before it actually started.
I sat down at the 'glass coffeehouse' and eventually I went up to buy some iced green tea. I literally just sat there for a while and then got up to leave once it was 1pm. As I left, I opened the door for this guy and his mom and then I made eye contact with his brother. This detail is actually going to be important soon, kinda. LOL
So it was 1:30pm and I was sitting alone at the Welcoming Ceremony. When they called down people to be dismissed to their preferred college presentation, almost everyone and their mamas got up for Engineering, omg. But turns out pre-med, which is what I went for, was the biggest, I believe?
I sat alone again... LMAO but there were two empty seats next to me. This asian dude and his friend asked if anyone sat in them and I said no and I let them sit next to me. We became friends and talked a bit and they were really easy to get along with. I was really happy that I made friends. His name was Will and his friend's name was Jeff.
The pre-med system at Rice sounds just so intriguing. Sigh, it's a 90% acceptance rate to Baylor College of Medicine, they're with you for full support, etc. etc. I think this was a big factor for me to wanting.. to go...
Will, Jeff, and I went to the student life panel next and as we were leaving, he told me he saw someone in the same exact outfit. I asked him.. and he told me he was the guy I made eye contact with earlier. LOL, turns out the brother with him is his twin brother, wowie.
Anyway, at the student life panel, it was very open for questions. One of the girls, she was a really pretty blonde, said she teaches swimming at the recreation center. Later, Jeff raises his hand and says the question is specifically for her and asks for confirmation, "So.. you teach swimming. At the recreation center, yes?" and she nodded and he goes, "Okay, just making sure." and the whole room erupted with laughter and you could see the disturbance in her face. HAHA the funny thing is though that he didn't even mean it like that, he's actually a swimmer who swims competitively in his school... omg.
Anyway, after that was the campus tour. I think this is where I confirmed my love for the school. The school is extremely breathtaking with its aesthetics and such. I learned a lot about the school through the tour and other features like how the Museum of Natural Science and the Zoo free for students and all. How cool is that forreal.
When the tour was over, I went to buy Funyons and a drink lol, and while I was taking a picture with Will and Jeff, this guy photobombs and he talked to me after I turned around, confused. "Hey, I see that camera. You're interested in photography?" I honestly didn't know what to say because of course I am, but I didn't want to say I was because I'd feel embarrassed since I haven't posted any recent pictures on my flickr or anything and haven't actually gotten super into it since freshman year. So I said "Sorta!" then he goes "oh, so you just have a camera? I see" OMG THEN-- THAT MADE ME SEEM LIKE I WAS ONE OF THOSE GIRLS WHO BUY THEM JUST BECAUSE wow so I just explained that I was very interested in it but I haven't taken it seriously for a while. And I thought he was a college student. Turns out he goes to Bellaire High School hahaha. I forgot his name. :(
After that, I went to an early decision q&a. Yeah, it's official. I'm applying early decision. Honestly, I'm not going to expect much because Rice has a lot of competitive applicants that meet its potential while I lack some things that I need to improve as soon as I can.
Transitioning from this depressing touchy subject--- I met up with Vy afterwards. :') I was extremely happy to see her bc I luv her okay it felt like a long time since I've last hung out with her. I ate dinner with her and her friends. Her friends were all very nice!! I felt bad because I felt like I rushed Vy because my dad was rushing me to leave. Right when we put our plates up, I met another one of Vy's friend Tony for like 5 seconds. :| Then Vy and I walked all the way to Shepherd to my dad.

May games kasee dun sa debut so yung unang game actually parang eto lng yung nilaro talaga, unfaaaair masyado! Hahahaha! Basta yung tawag nila sa game eh "DROP THE COIN!" Bibigyan ka nila ng piso tapos ihuhulog mo sa tshirt sooo kelangan mahulog siya pababa from tshirt to pants hanggang sa floor at kelangan dapat hindi hahawakan ng boy so syempre yung girl yung gagawa ng paraan paano mapababa yung coin!
At first ayookooo talagaaa eeeh, kasee sabi nung emcee couple daww tapos kami yung tinuro nila!! NAPAKAAAWALANGHIYAAAAA!! Hahahahha!! Tapos sabi nung emcee bawal daw KJ tapos sumigaw ako, "EEEH KJ AKOOO EEEEHH!! Hahahahahaha!!" So ayuuun kahit nakakailang eh sinunod ko nalang kasee sabi niya "Sge na friend, give respect, para kai tamie to debut niyaaa!" Hahahahahaha!! WALANGYAAAA TALAGAAAAAA!!! So ayuuuun, nanalo kaaameeee ? Hahahahaha!!
So til' nooow, nasa akin pa rin yung PISO, Hahahaha!! Tapos tinexxt niya ako kung asan na daw yung piso, sabi ko ipapandagdag ko sa pamasahe to, tapos sabi niya eeeh WAGG DAAW!! Hatiin nlng daw namin, tig 50-50 cents kami, langyaaa, mawawala na sentimental valune nung piso kung papalitan!! Hahahahaha!! Nakakatuwaa lang eeehh :)))
