Introduction - 9/29/16

Today I opened “The Wander Society” by Keri Smith and read the introdction, in which Keri Smith reveals how she found the Wander Society, or rather how the Wander Society found her. It involved Walt Whitman’s “Leaves of Grass” and mystery markings including a lightning bolt and the latin phrase “sulvitur ambulado” translating to “it is solved by walking”. This is the story of the beginning of Keri Smith’s journey and coincidentally, it is the start of mine. Not to say that I found writing in Walt Whitman’s works but with the start of Smith’s book, my journey begins. After reading the passages from “Leaves of Grass” multiple times, provided by Smith, I finally understand what the phrase means. Opportunity. And this book is my opportunity - to change, to live, to breathe again.

And so it begins. And so I will wander.
