Why does it seem like the majority of otherkin are also autistic or have some form of asbergers?
From my personal experience of being diagnosed with High Functioning Autism at age 10, I have never felt like I’ve been a part of the human race. I felt isolated and as though I wasn’t accepted as a valid human being. Many people feel this way anyway, autism or not and some otherkin feel this way while others may not. It’s different with each person. But if I’m honest, I’d say that as you say “the majority of otherkin are also autistic” is perhaps because of the disassociation with the identity of being a human based on how other ableist human being perceive us.
