She sits in the little office, mind still spinning like a tire stuck in the mud. The nurse approached, checking to see if she was okay. She nodded, thought honestly she hadn’t heard anything after the doctor said the word every woman dreaded to hear.

               It’s a week later that she sits in the office once more, having taken time not only on her own but with the help of friends and family to explore her treatment options. She discusses pros and cons with the surgeon. With a smile he tells her that of all the cases he’s seen this would be the easiest to treat and she should be cancer free in only a few months time. And this time she cannot get out of the office fast enough because she wants to call all the people who have been supporting her with the news.

1st therapy session

i give it a 4/10. not much happened, i was really nervous through the whole thing, i thought i was gonna cry. i feel like we didnt talk about anything important, and what i did get across kinda got dismissed. so, im discouraged, ngl, but im going back next week. ive been trying to get this for years and now it finally happened and im gonna try and stay with it. id feel bad about switching therapists though, although i might need to. i feel like now they think like i dont really have any important issues, and maybe i dont, i dont know. i kinda backed out of a lot of things. theyd ask a question and id be like "well, okay maybe not." even if the real answer wouldve been yes. i dont know what to do. i kinda just feel like quitting atm. also, im only 3 days clean. cool.
