Thank You
I shouldn’t be kissing the page with poetry about you But I want you to know how grateful I am, For the moments you made me happy again And allowed me to taste life for the first time You made me see that I can reach things I once thought untouchable I am so incredibly caged inside myself But you helped me to fly for a little while You don’t know it, but I am forever thankful for that.
I felt plates shifting As if the world was moving me closer to you My mind approached with caution But my heart felt like it was going home Your arms held my body And I shed a tear of relief Everything I didn’t know I’d been looking for Had come and found me.
