#1000 comments

Temporarily breaking my Dragon Age fandom / social media hiatus to celebrate this wonderful milestone: my DA2 Regency AU longfic “A Chance Engagement” reached a total of 1,000 comments on AO3 today! 😍

At 44 chapters long (84,527 words) it is still unfinished (sorry about that! I 100% intend to get back to it when I can), but I am absolutely bowled over at the love and support you have all shown me for this fanfic ever since I started writing and publishing it in September 2017 🙌🏾  I never once thought I’d get even half this number of comments, so this really blows me away! 

Given that Carver/Merrill is a rare-pair, and Regency AU fics written in Regency-style English can be difficult to follow, I thought this would be a really niche fanfic that wouldn’t appeal to very many people -- especially when up against the sheer amount of talent and amazing fanfics this fandom has to offer -- but I am surprised and touched and overjoyed at how many people have taken the time to read, subscribe, comment on and love my humble fanfic.

Guyyyyssss, what the what?? This is insane! AEOM has seriously hit over a thousand comments and over 50k hits? I am… just in awe. Thank you guys so much! I had been planning on doing this for a while, but I’m going to put out a sort of… I guess it would be a companion fic? I have several deleted scenes that I took out because I want AEOM to be primarily Yuuri POV. These scenes are all alternate POVs, including, but not limited to, (by very popular demand) Victor’s. I have a feeling that it will be very interesting to see what happens outside of Yuuri’s narrow little world :)
