ENG. Funny thing was, we had a quiz and when the prof called some students to recite the answers, almost all of them got it wrong and the prof was so exasperated and frustrated at those students his expression made me laugh uncontrollably. There was one student who misheard the name being called. She thought she was the one being called to recite, but then it was the other student. It was so funny because as soon as she stood up, she talked with a confidence that is obviously overflowing from her manner of speaking. Everyone laughed, but I still can't get over it. Talk about embarrassing. Then she quickly added, "I haven't slept for two days so pardon me." Lol. Talk about a desperate attempt to save oneself from humiliation.
LIT. It was the second to the last meeting, but today the prof started in a foul mood because of her earlier class. She tells us, "Those who haven't read and understood the selection, get out." Nobody got out at first. She said that it's either those people go or she goes. She seems to hate it a lot when students pretend they understood something when in fact they don't. Our generation has a lot of pretenses, she said. So two students got out, but I bet those aren't the only people who didn't analyze the text. She said, "Okay, so that means everyone knows what the selection is all about. That means if I ask a random student, he/she can answer my question, yes?" Fortunately, she got answers. She said that on Monday she will take over in finishing the discussion. She also said that she will give us her last will and testament. I don't know what that exactly means, so I guess I'll just have to find out. I admit, I hated her when 'that' incident happened, but now I can say that she's the best literature professor I've ever had so far. It's her subject that I'm going to actually miss taking. Unfortunately, next semester she won't be teaching anymore because she's retiring. I'll just dwell on the fact that at least I got a chance to sit in her class.
