Kat and her son Romeo I was having a tough morning when I encountered Kat. I told her what was going on in my life and why I wanted to make her portrait. While sharing my own story she began to share hers, we had similarities that we decided to continue to discuss. There is a beauty in being honest, it is often rewarded with feedback that fuels growth. I enjoy photographing strangers because everyone you meet should be viewed as a teacher. Thank you to Kat for turning my morning around. #100DaysOfSonder sonder: the realization that every passerbyer is living a life as vivid and complex as your own (at Newbury Park, California)
