gods, this is kind of insane. this blog has grown with me. you can see the many, many phases I went through in my life. the top blog tag I had here was roosterteeth for a while, and then it was cats, and as I grew older, this blog’s content shifted over and over. people still stuck with me even despite the change in content, from slenderverse to rooster teeth to the content of my friends to persona.
I don’t know what to say other than thank you for sticking with me, you strange followers, over the many years I have run this blog.
I started this blog when I was - what, 14? 13? I don’t even know how old I was. I went through the Mishapocalypse, if that’s a good indicator of how young I was.
I’m eighteen now.
... Actually eighteen, not whatever I might have said prior on this blog when I was a minor and stupid and making shitty choices. I’m in college.
looking back at this blog is strange, and uncanny, due to the many parts of my life it shows and the many tags it’s used - several tags for people I had crushes on, several tags for interests, the occasional talking about myself.
but it’s a comfort, in a way.
it’s a constant.
I don’t think I'll be leaving this site any time soon, save when I’m forced off. tumblr taught me a lot. helped me realize I was transgender nonbinary, helped me realize I was autistic. fucked me up in certain ways, but doesn't every piece of social media do that?
the username of this blog came to me in a dream. I dreamt I was creating a YouTube account and “penthepoet” was the username. it ended up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy, as I genuinely began going by Pen in real life and pursuing creative writing. funny how that works, huh? kind of uncanny
anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for those who continue to follow me, whether I have met you in real life or not met you at all or if we have spoken constantly or if we have spoken once or if we have never spoken at all
