Light fades to dark The inside beasts come out to play Once again All the fortunate things The good luck you had The smile I showed What's the use of all of it if it's just going to disappear? I pray to see the light And turn on the lamp beside me for comfort (until it comes) It flickers and envelopes me But it's not the same I should be happy with what I have, they say It's not that I'm not Is it wrong to want more? But then again, that's what consumes me I'm thirstier as the days go by I'm slowing down My mind wants to stop Lengthen the dream it's deceiving me with I don't need to pray to see the sunlight The bulb will eventually die too It's a different warmth but I like it Maybe Just maybe Something new will happen today
