A Prayer for Another Year - To Christine Anthony on her 101st birthday

Father God, thank you for giving me another year of life and allowing me to see my birthday, you didn’t have to do it.  There are many who were called in far younger than I.

You saw fit to allow me to celebrate my day in good health, there are many who are living their bodies wracked with pain and with infirmities.

I have my family and friends around me to cheer me on, some are all alone and have no one and are without a place to call their own.

Father God, crown my head with wisdom that I be able to walk with my head held high and place my feet firmly on your path of righteousness.

I have many blessings, material and otherwise, that are too numerous to count, I haven’t forgotten to give you honor and praise for those blessings and I am yet reminded to be always thankful for you didn’t have to bless me.

Today of all days, I give you the honor and the praise and thank you once more for all you have given me.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.
