Join National Movement Alliance (NMA, a local 501(c)(3) as they team with sponsor, Southbound Brewery, to unveil “Twist and Shout”, a light, citrus IPA created in honor of GEM (Get Excited and Move). GEM is an exercise program created by Olympic Coach Michael Cohen especially for people with movement disorders. The program focuses on balance, coordination and cognitive skills, all the while building a sense of camaraderie and community. GEM is provided at the cost of $10 per person per month, so that everyone in the Savannah area with a movement disorder (PD, MS, ET, ALS, Huntington’s, etc) or a movement difficulty (RA, Arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, etc.) can participate, along with their caregivers.
“Twist and Shout”, a light pale IPA was created to honor the participants of GEM. Join NMA, Southbound, and Savannah’s Movement Disorders Community on Friday evening, for fun and friendship, as they honor more than 200 GEM participants who work hard weekly to manage their quality of life.
