The 10-Hole wheel (also referred to as the phone dial wheel) first made its appearance on the 1985 Mustang GT wrapped in a set of P225/60VR15 Goodyear Gatorback tires. This wheel was meant to be a superior successor to the TRX wheel featured on previous performance models. Later in the 1985 model year, the 10-Hole wheel became mandatory on the LX and then optioned on Fox Mustangs all the way until the end of the era in 1993.
