You seem to have Christianity confused with other religions, such as Hinduism, that treat wives as mere property. The Tenth Commandment prohibits coveting (covetousness is an unlawful desire), and lists some of the items we are not to lust after. I’m sure you would agree that men tend to lust after women. So, women are included in the list. The association with other things we covet has nothing…

There is a certain clinical satisfaction in seeing just how bad things can get.
Sylvia Plath
My sister is getting married before me and I am so pissed off.. My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years and he still hasn't proposed. How do I deal with jealousy. She's my baby sister and I love her, but I'm so envious.
How do you deal with jealousy? My best answer is to give it to God. Daily even. Submit your jealousy to God over and over, and ask Him to fill you up with more real love. Love that doesn’t compare and that rejoices with those that rejoice.
Don’t settle for “surface” or “faker” love either. Keep submitting your jealousy to God until it’s totally gone. This process isn’t just fixing a behavior or even removing a feeling, it’s making you into a whole new person.
One last tip is to let someone you know in person know you’re dealing with this. The Bible says to confess our sins to each other so we can be healed. Pick someone who will hold you accountable and pray for you.
God bless! Jesus said it was for freedom that He came and did what He did. The end result of submitting every single part of your life to Him is that you don’t have to struggle when temptation comes around. You’ll be able to resist it as God gives you the strength.
