Nostalgic But Relieved With A Touch Of Heartache

I had a dream I was wandering around the basement of a relative with a friend trying to find something in the dark only my flashlight didn’t work, it just strobed basically and so I had to stay extra close to my friend and whenever I wanted to leave they said, “we can’t leave, they’re up there.” which was just my whole family and relatives but the way it was said scared me and convinced me to stay. We wandered around until I saw dog food under the stairs that was still there from dogs who they owned who’d died years ago. Then my mom was driving an old but adorable shitty car and kept saying, “we can’t bring it in to be fixed or it will be totalled” The car was bright yellow and didn’t have any badges on it.

Whenever I see one of my friends in the hallway at school, and we aren't on a course to walk like right next to each other, I have to force myself to like, not stare at them, or like not acknowledge their presence, because I don't want them to realize that my brain at that moment is screaming "FRIEND, FRIEND, FRIEND, FRIEND!!!"

Gosh, I can't believe how hard it is to forget you. I don't love you. I just want my friend back. I would deal with all the pain on my own, if we could just start over and find our friendship all over again.
