The metal detector in today's world is a very important piece of machinery. In the late 1800's, the Kampfe brothers were able to successfully create the first demonstration of a metal detector.
This pictures above are early cash registers of the late 1800's. The man credited with inventing the cash register, James Ritty, did so in 1879. He was a saloonkeeper from Dayton, Ohio.
