Welp, we made it to Election Day. I was pretty much fine making it through the work day — stayed focused on work and tried to ignore everything else going on in the world.
I logged off earlyish, 5:30 or so, and wasn’t feeling so hot. B handled heating up dinner. Leftovers. After eating dinner I had a bit of a breakdown because the world — my world, at least — feels so damn lonely lately. Plus the stress of the election looming and being 6+ months pregnant, I was no match for the hormones and emotions tonight. Fucked up thing is I can’t tell how much of this feeling is reasonable, and how much of it is being exacerbated by the pandemic, the election, work stress, or pregnancy.
I feel like I have no one to talk to anymore. Makes me sad all the time. Like, deep sad. This is really my only outlet these days and I’m grateful to have it. Grateful for all you lovely folks who keep up with my nonsense and always have a supportive comment to offer. As for tonight, I’m gonna turn off the election coverage and climb into bed any minute. Hey, at least I washed the sheets today. Nothing like the first night’s sleep in a set of clean sheets.
