Joy,

It is Thanksgiving morning and I’m sitting in bed with Apollo, bawling my eyes out because you’re not here. November 1st, Mom’s birthday, always marked the beginning of holiday season for our family, and it’s so weird without you. Honestly, every day is a struggle without you. I highly doubt I will show you this until the end of the trip, it will only make it worse for you. And besides, you already know how much I miss you–it’s how much you miss me.

All in all, there are so many things swirling around my head that I want to say to you that I don’t even know where to begin. So I’m just going to end it here for the day. But I feel like this is going to turn into less of letters and more of snippits of stuff I want to tell you about. Either way, just never forget I love you, okay?

TWO THINGS:

Hey guys! I want to ask for a bit of prayer. 

So, I’m leaving for the Dominican in less than 25 days, and I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see how God changes my life and the lives of others through this experience. I would really love and appreciate prayers on the behalf of myself and my group. 

Additionally, I’ve felt the tugging of my heart lately, pointing to leading a non-conventional life. I’m not sure where this is going to go or what it’s going to bring, but I’ve been introduced to the World Race which is a mission trip to eleven different countries in eleven months. I wouldn’t be able to go until 2019, so this is pretty far away, but I would really appreciate prayers helping me decypher if this is God’s plan for part of my life. 

Thank you so much for the ones of you who prayed for my trip to the Dominican last year, and thank you to those of you who will be praying for me this time, and for my future.
