He claims that everything we perceive is an illusion from the truth, and language is inadequate to describe this truth it is just an poorly translate medium that fails to include different variations. My issue that if he is claiming that when we use language to portray ideas then it is a distortion from the truth, how can he make an argument with that same language that he is saying can't portray truth? /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: How do we describe Al-Farabi's conception of causality? Now you may say that the original oppressors are dead. True. But Prabhupada says you incarnate to the land where you lived especially if that is where your heart and mind is at the time of death. So if your consciousness is to your countrymen and kinship at death, surely you will reincarnate in another body to that area. So yes they do have it coming. I'll be waiting for commentary from the Great NAGURU!!!!! Ansan, And "Africans and Arabians" as you mentioned are getting there punishments in the form of starvation, wars, and diseases for africans and the jewish plan for Arabian conquest through all these long term wars which will be endless. This is how karma works. /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: Is it possible to be experienced in everything? Science, math, CPR, parkour, art, manipulation, etc.? Posted: 04 May 2016 07:31 PM PDT https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160504193140AAwptc6 The situation: Let's say two teams are competing in a research competition. The rules require the teams to have members that have never competed in this competition in the past. The director of Team A found out that the director of Team B recruited someone who had competed in the competition in the past, and then he also recruited a past member for his own team. Only the director of Team A knows about this and did not inform his team mates for their own good. He did not want them to stress that they might get disqualified. The way I see it is that what the director of Team A did goes completely against the Kantian definition of morality. I do not see any aspect of this situation that could be considered moral. Was it moral that the director of Team A kept it a secret? No, because such secrecy to benefit oneself is not something that can be made a universal law. Posted: 03 May 2016 11:32 PM PDT https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160503233227AAh6sV8 I dont know about you but when I hear things such as the sun will one day expand and engulf the earth, I picture it but I'm just putting it into perspective, Imagine it, it IS going to happen eventually. We'll be long gone by then I'm sure. But once earth falls victim to the expanding sun, everything will be wiped from existence. The species, the continents, the plants, the machines, the documented discoveries, all of the complex languages... The internet, social world, video games, books (and more importantly the abstract story within them), all science, all knowledge/wisdom... All of history; every war, every discovery, every event, and ancient structures. All evidence of life ever existing in this region of space will most likely be destroyed completely before another intelligent species, from another part of the universe, discovers our ruins. And so one day, not a single trace, not even a hint, of our existence will be found. Earth may die alone and unknown. It doesn't seem like that big of deal just picturing it, you have to really really apply it to perspective. What is your opinion? What if we could make a capsule or something with lots of information about our languages, history, species, etc. and send it into space so there would at least be a chance that something will discover us, the long gone? /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: Actions are free if they are uncaused ? is this Libertarianism Compatibilism,or Determinism.? Posted: 01 May 2016 03:56 PM PDT https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20160501155612AAhIA2a I know a bunch of you are going to hate me for this but I just had to post the question..the difference between. Being good vs. Being evil(morals) and being human. I have always like philosophy and already found the answer but I also want opinions from others. I wondered about this before but only recently given it thought after playing Tomentum: Dark Sorrow. Having morals often mean having a sense of right and wrong and as a result being good or evil reflects this. Why then do murderers and villains think of themsevles as "good" and "right" when it is wrong in others eyes? It is because they do not see regret because they are honest with themselves.regret is often a by product of doing what's right vs doing what's wrong but who is to say what right or wrong because it is subjective to how a person feels and goes against their core beliefs. If a person is truly honest with themselves to see their reality then no fault is given because the person does not see it as right or wrong..it is merely an action. In the end, regret is what allow people to deem it as "bad" or "wrong" but if you eliminate the by product by being honest with yourself then you remove the need for guilt and therefore do not see it as a moral scale. Being human also implies morality because of regret. A life of sorrows is not a life of pain joy /////////////////////////////////////////// Question: What is your most comforting thought? :-))
