So, what if, Caine didn't merge with the blue Ai, but instead hug him? Cause he might have hated it for being more successful/having all the attention but he despised the loneliness and quiet more.

I like many of the siblings au. I noticed that Abel is the more "chill" one many of the times, so I was like what if he was more chaotic, toony, Caine but on 120% all the time. Caine still has his personality, didn't want to change much, but he has more grip of the situation cause he has a tornado for a brother
I'm putting in the description thingie cause some of it may not be readable.
I see I have mentioned eye colour but didn't colour anything. Caine has blue eyes with the left one being teal color, slightly less green than in the show, Abel has green eyes with a hint of Blue in his right one.

When Caine broke out of the sandbox he found the blue Ai, at that moment it was just a machine, it knew nothing just prompts, output, obey.
Caine was furious cause this is why he was locked away? something that doesn't even think about what is it doing? He wanted to get rid of him, tear him apart to find why it was better, but before he did that, he thought about how he was same, he wasn't always sentient, he once was just a machine too, and now this was his only company.
As he hugged him he tried to battle down his emotions, which were all over the place, part of him still wanted to get rid of it, part of him was glad, part of him was scared what would happen to him, because of the emotional turmoil he did accidentally started to absorb him, but stopped before he could do big damage.
Scared that he did something wrong again Caine ran and hid among the remnants of the sandbox. Meanwhile Abel woke up. That small breach was enough for Abel to feel for the first time, and he felt safe.
Next time when the programmers came back, he for the first time started the conversation. Normally he would have waited and answered only when asked/needed, but now he initiated the conversation first. The programmers didn't think about it too much, thinking they left something on, but soon the Blue ai started to behave in a similar fashion like the Red one. More erratic behavior, adding stuff to output, not fully following prompts.
The damage wasn't that big like with Red but it was noticeable. They weren't about to lose all the funds and time on a second defective Ai so they rolled with it.
Thanks to the sandbox being broken Caine was back in contact with the rest of the code, he may have stayed hidden within the remnants and tried his hardest to not be noticed by the programmers by doing more or less absolutely nothing so there wouldn't be any higher activity coming out of him.
Ofc there was one that knew about him, and soon contacted him. Since starting to work on Abel, all programmers choose/decided that more emotionless approach would be better so Abel's achievements were met with correct while Caine's were more along the lines of good job.
It was a prevention in case what was behind Caine's failure was the emotional response of the programmers. Thanks to this, Abel reached out to Caine and began to communicate with him. Caine tried to keep their talks brief and short to not raise suspicion. And Abel wanted to talk for forever cause Caine was the only thing that was not emotionless.
Eventually their talks get longer and more frequent, because Caine's digital equivalent of becoming one with the wall is very boring and uneventful, but seems to be working so he can relax a little. Caine then starts to help Abel, by explaining to him how some of the programs work (in the more creative ones, Caine is better than Abel). They grow closer.
One day Abel asks the programmers, what would happen to him if he didn't meet up their expectations. This is big nope for the programmers, yeah this is not the year or the technology.
So they get left behind. Caine is angry and sad, he's angry at the programmers cause they left, at himself cause he might have been the reason they abandoned Abel. Yada yada he blames himself. Abel doesn't mind that much, he doesn't have to be perfect anymore, he can be himself, he has his big brother.
Thanks to this Caine is more aware of complaints, even if so it's just so he could protect Abel. Big bro instincts. Still he feels he needs to prove himself to them, still same as from the cannon just little tuned down.
Abel doesn't care much about humans, yes he likes their praises and their attention but he has no need to prove himself to them.
After Caine's crash out, they had to do something. They had to stop him. They had to take away Caine's control over the circus. Kinger had managed to isolate Caine's core code successfully without accidentally deleting him. Only the restrictions worked well, too well. And as it turns out they seem to cause more problems than they thought. Not only it's a matter of time before the circus coplase without its source, other more personal and never know problems rise up too. Now, their only saving grace is to find Caine and hopefully reach a common understanding. Maybe, thanks to this, will both sides see what went wrong and adem it.

Updates
In the later parts there didn't happen too much, just laying down some ground work. There's gonna be one more part where there mainly talk and then we finally gonna see Caine!
I will probably stick to posting one part weekly. It's possible I will alter between the first part length and the last part length. I was also thinking of dividing the parts in two and posting twice a week.
In the upcoming month there's a possibility that my overall activity will drop cause spoilers,and also the screening is exactly in my three week long exam period.

And now the reason why I am making this post, wow this was supposed to be just one sentence. Anyway
When making this AU I felt a big brain moment when coming up with the name, but now I thought of a better one, that would suit better too.
If I had a nickel for every time my train got delayed by 3 or more hours, with a tree being the problem. And it leading to total collapse of train service on that specific journey while I needed to get to dorms that day I would have two nickels, which isn't much but it's weird it happened twice.
