You gotta hear the American guy they used to have do intros before handing it over to the world feed. He use stereotypes as accents when he would mispernounce the names. It was so horrible
Like, I know the Brits don’t pronounce the names correctly but some (Greg Haines) can say them bearably. Like, every language have ‘weird’ pronunciations and you can’t learn them all, not to mention they just don’t come naturally when you’re speaking another language (I rarely say my actual name correctly when I’m speaking in English because the Finnish pronunciation just doesn’t suit an English sentence), but once you get used to the ‘wrong’ pronunciation that isn’t disturbing, it becomes the norm.
However I can imagine the Americans butchering the names, as the Finns have a tendency to do. Also I have a distaste for the Finnish language in general and the biased commenting (half for Moto2?? really??) that I just can’t watch the Finnish broadcasts, not in F1 and not in MotoGP. I considered buying the Finnish F1 broadcaster’s online feed but I can’t listen to them riding Kimi’s dick every race weekend.
