“Dude, what are you talking about? Who’s there? There’s no one there.” Is Clay okay? It sounds like he’s seeing things that aren’t there. He’s certainly not on drugs, Clay wouldn’t do that, which rules one thing out. There’s something wrong with him, isn’t there? He’s been spiraling but Justin didn’t think it was this bad. “Dude, are you okay?”

“Hey, you don’t have to apologize to me.” Whatever it is Monty is going through, they’re friends, and if Monty needs to wake him up and talk to him - he’s not going to get mad about it. Besides, Monty doesn’t often wake him up for anything. “I couldn’t sleep anyway. You alright, dude?”

People often don’t question it when Monty comes to school or meets up with someone covered in bruises. Some of them think he’s just gotten into fights with some other boys, some others know what’s really going on. Some like Justin.
His father beats him and while Justin doesn’t know why, he’s tired of pretending like it doesn’t happen. No one has said a word, Justin thinks because they might be scared of Monty’s reaction, but he can’t just not say something when it keeps getting worse.

A thunderstorm had rolled in, most people stay inside. There’s loud bangs that signal thunder echoing throughout their town. Lightning that strikes a little too close to home. Rain pours down so hard that Alex can hear it pounding on their roof. At first, Alex mistakes the banging on the door as rain - but then he realizes how different it sounds from the rain on the roof.
Who the hell is out in this thunderstorm banging on his door?
Whoever it is, the knocking sounds frantic and so Alex is quick to unlock and open the front door. What he sees there surprises him, makes eyes widen and face to instantly fill with concern as he spots the blood. “Charlie....what happened?” Gently grabbing ahold of Charlie’s wrist, Alex pulls him inside and kicks the door shut before guiding him to the couch. “How bad are you hurt?”

Being around booze isn’t the best thing for a recovering addict and Charlie reeks of it. He’s drunk, barely able to stand on his own, and his words are cause for concern. Wasted like all his potential?
Justin doesn’t think his potential has been wasted but that’s a discussion for later. Right now Justin needs to get Charlie safely out of here and back home. Whether that’s Charlie’s home or his own, Justin has yet to decide.
“Alright, come on Charlie. You’ve had enough. Time to get out of here.” A tug of Charlie’s hand and he’s pulling him to a standing position before quickly wrapping an arm around Charlie to support him. “Time to go home, alright?”
@llovewiins is twisting my arm and telling me to add Alex and Skye too so I guess i’m gonna do that too (SKYE DESERVED BETTER THAN TO BE FORGOTTEN DAMN IT)
