the amount of tears i shed while watching 13th on netflix is unbelievable. i learned so many heartbreakingly evil things from that documentary. as a nbpoc i will never know what it's like to be a Black person in america. but i will fight alongside you and listen to you. black lives matter.

I watched 13th the other day and it was very eye opening. It is a Netflix documentary about the United States prison system and how the 13th amendment ended slavery in the US except when it comes to prisoners. Very good documentary that everyone needs to see.

Se avete tempo (ma anche se non ce l'avete, trovatevelo), vi invito a guardare il docufilm "13th", soprattutto ora, dato quello che sta succedendo negli Stati Uniti. A parte l'angoscia, lo sconforto e la mancanza di fiducia nei confronti della società, vi farà scoprire tutti gli altarini che stanno dietro al sistema penale americano.

Hello, Ava DuVernay is brilliant and her new film, When They See Us, is definitely top-of-Netflix-watchlist. Many schools don’t teach students about the Central Park Five so this work is a great opportunity for Americans in particular to learn more about the failings of our system. Ava’s really incredible and she continues to put out timely, very much needed film works.
