Hi! I’m James, I’m fifteen, and I live in Ecuador but I’m from the states. I’d like to have a bit more support and community because the conservative culture here has prevented me from coming out. My parents are transphobic, but my friends and siblings aren’t (for the most part). I’m out to my two best friends and they support me completely, but they live 5000 miles away from me. I’m kinda “feminine” in some ways (I like to paint my nails, my favorite color is pink, etc.) but I tend to dress super masculine so I can pass better, even though it’s not exactly what I want to wear. The majority of people here are super transphobic to the point of abuse in some cases, and I try not to let it get to me but it’s easy to feel alone here. For example, twenty minutes ago I went on a walk and a guy spit at me because of the way I was dressed. I hope you’ll let me be a part of this!
