Changes to Twitter Account
Who has a better call than him who summons to Allah and acts righteously and says, ‘Indeed I am one of the muslims’? (41:33)
After much pondering in this holy month, on account of my actions, I am making changes (this being one)
I have realized the need to divorce my personal opinion from the account. The account is dedicated for the Ahlulbayt and their teachings. Thus, I have created a personal account to voice opinions - @sayedalijaffery. I would love to connect with the lovely people I have met.
Unfortunately, a follow for follow approach is not favoured for high social impact, therefore I have decided that instead of picking a favourite few, not to pick any. This also divorces personal effects from the account and quality is better than quantity.
The account isn't about me, its about the community's love for Ahlulbayt. When I started, a twitter search for "imam", they were a few quotes of Imam Ali (as) and those of Ahlul Sunnah scholars and very few tweets on Ahlulbayt (as). MashAllah now, many accounts have sprung up, spreading beautiful knowledge. I encourage everyone to participate in spreading the message of Ahlulbayt in anyway or form, the more the better, as long as your intentions are sincere in pleasing Allah!
There is no good in much of their secret talks, excepting him who enjoins charity or what is right or reconciliation between people, and whoever does that, seeking Allah’s pleasure, soon We shall give him a great reward. (4:114)
