V of that day, shining like a sparkling jewel, shining transparently. ● ●
How's V doing these days? I'm focusing on preparing for the new album that will be released soon. It seems like we're going to be very, very busy! ● ●
Everyone's waiting. That's right. It’s been such a long time, both for an album and for concerts. So these days, I feel even more often, and more clearly, that standing on stage is the biggest source of motivation in my life ● ●
What dreams are you sharing with the members while preparing for BTS's new album? What expectations don't feel heavy sometimes? It's been a long time since I've made a comeback. Of course, there are times when the weight of the comeback feels heavy. But well, I want to enjoy it more than anything else! And I want to look pretty to the ARMY, so I'm just preparing hard without thinking about anything else.
Could you give us a hint on how you're working so hard on your preparations? I don't usually take good care of my skin, but now I'm even using a sheet mask once a week? ● ● ●
This year marks BTS's 13th debut anniversary. BTS has already achieved so much, but if you still have a dream left, what would it be? As a team? Right now, I'm not thinking about anything other than concerts and a new album, but, um, you have to have a dream. So If I had to say a dream, it would be for the new album to be loved by ARMY! Yes, that's my dream right now ● ●
As a musician, as an icon, and as an artist who represents something, like on GQ’s cover, V is asked to take on many roles. What kind of unseen efforts do you make for all of that? Experiences. I willingly strive to have as many different experiences as I can. And after each one, I look back and see what fits well with the colors I already have. I think that entire process is a form of learning. ● ● ●
And with what kind of mindset or attitude do you move through those experiences? I just find it fun! It feels like, as if I’m playing different roles and different personas emerge from me and come to life. ● ●
And what do you gain from meeting all these different personas? It may sound cliché, but growth. And change. Through that growth, I’ve learned more precisely what I like and what I’m good at. Ultimately, I understand better who I am. ● ●
What do you think it ultimately means for something to be “so V” or “very you as V”? I'm not really sure about that yet. I feel like the people who have been watching over me probably know better than I do what “being V” really is. ● ●
What kind of time was 2025 for you, V? It was a time when I tried to grow and ultimately, I was able to grow. I also tried to put that process into my songs. On the other hand, it was a time when I wanted to show my face a little through various opportunities, to be seen by ARMY who might have missed BTS during our break. Please praise me! ● ●
What is V’s standard of beauty? I think I naturally gravitate toward classic, and vintage kind of beauty. It’s something I’ve always pursued and expressed often so much that it feels like it’s become a firm part of my taste, almost a part of me. But I don’t cling to it. I’m always interested in the many different values that can be called “beautiful" ● ● ● ●
When you think about something that is so beautiful you cannot help but look at it often, like the jewelry and watch you wore during today’s shoot, what comes to mind for you, V? Our armys. They are people I am always curious about and always want to see. I cannot really think of anyone other than armys. ● ●
Is there something you hope won’t be lost with time, or that you wish would never change? What I don’t want to lose is our members. And what I hope never changes is the relationship between Armys and us ● ●
In the last message of GQ, please leave V's honest wishes to walk in 2026. First of all, I hope the ARMYs will find out the sincerity of this album. The new album, the comeback stage, the concert, all of these are all that we can show you, so I would appreciate it if you could accept it as it is. And one more. I want to stay with the ARMY people all the time. In a good way. Um… like, hanging around you. Being there for you, Always. ● ● ● ●
