I was searching for a fic that has Eddie going to Steve’s house and when he knocks on the door is Steve’s father who answered, I remember Eddie telling him something like he worked (Family Video) with Steve (a lie) and was worried bc he didn’t call sick. Then the dad told Steve something like he wasn’t surprised he was so irresponsible and almost hit him I think, that has Eddie retracting and saying he did called sick but he just wanted to come check on him. Then Steve tells Eddie when his dad left that wait for a couple of days before looking for him again, Eddie wants to argue but Steve insists
