I find it incredibly interesting that this season opens on Franky getting shot in the arm for Fiona, and closes on her learning that Twilight got shot in the arm for Yor.

I always """"like"""" to do this comparison when I want to emphasize the difference between Jessie and Jessiebelle, be it in my video edits or to introduce them to someone new to the fandom:
It's always been pretty significant to me.
Both Jessie and Jessiebelle are in the foreground of the picture, or at the very least, they're the first and biggest element that catches the eye. Their relationship with James in the images is what makes them so contrasting.
Note carefully: Jessie is playfully running away from him. It's James, by his own will, that is reaching out to her just as light-heartedly. On the other hand, with Jessiebelle, James has no other choice but to succumb. He can't stand up to her: even our Jessie would probably have some difficulties against that sadistic woman.
Let's also analyze the predominant colours in both screenshots.
Jessie and James are in a prairie suspended in space (a cute fantasy indeed xd), where the predominant colours are blue and pastel pink.
Blue is a cool tone that symbolises trust, calmness/serenity, and stability. The duo's joyful expressions reflect those emotions.
In general, pastel colours evoke feelings of calmness and renewal, as the pale hue is easy for the eyes and naturally more soothing.
Pink as a cool tone expresses naivety, sweetness, nurturing, innocence, new beginnings; it comes from the blend of red's fiery warmth, blue's relaxing creativity and white's candid purity, which evokes compassion and reduces stress. It is represented as a sign of hope, and it can express a feeling of tenderness and care between two people.
Moreover, J&J themselves are carrying bouquets of flowers of those same colours.
James and Jessiebelle are in the dungeon in his parents' house, surrounded by her torture devices. The background of only bricks and tools is pretty empty/barren compared to J&J's rich flower garden. The predominant colours are orange, red and its nuances.
It's important to note as well the contrast between James' blue suit and Jessiebelle's mainly red (and its shades) outfit.
Deep reds indicate a sense of sophistication and luxury. Red often elicits a sense of urgency, a physical response; its negative associations are aggression, anger, alert or danger, as well as perceived power (dominance, strength).
Orange has mostly positive undertones, but its strong, attention-grabbing nature can sometimes be overwhelming; vibrant, warm colours like red, orange and yellow can depict heightened emotions and may induce restlessness associated with anxiety.
... I hope I'm not reading too much into it lol
