Sam Renihan

As someone who agrees with the Federalism as described in the Second London Baptist Confession of 1677/89 I agree with most of Pastor Renihan’s theology. We differ on a few things (which I have discussed with him in the past), and I believe we agree on some things although we use different terms.

Redeemer Radio (Jeff Massey & Steve Marquedant), a radio ministry of Redeemer Reformed Baptist Church of Redlands, California has been working their way through the Chapters in the 1689. Last Friday, May 16, 2014 they interviewed Pastor Sam Renihan regarding Chapter 7: Of God’s Covenant. This broadcast is Part 1. The Works of John Gill: whatever you say about John Gill, he cannot be ignored in the history of Baptist theological thought and development. This puppy has been languishing for too long in the ‘gathering interest’ section and could do with a little momentum being added to it. Besides, who would sniff at 19 volumes for about $40?

The Works of Abraham Booth: …the outstanding Abraham Booth. Again, this looks more like it is gathering dust than interest. “My brothers, these things ought not to be so!” (Jas 3.10). When I remind you that – for what might at the moment be only $15 – you would get not only the magnificent Reign of Grace but also his Glad Tidings to Perishing Sinners and his Apology for the Baptists– no snickering at the back! – then you really have no cause to be sitting on your hands.
