Happy Alexanderson Day, Sweden! Named for Swedish radio pioneer, Ernst Alexanderson, on the Sunday closest to July 2 the Swedish government transmits short Morse code messages (on 17.2 kHz, if anyone is interested) from the VLF (very low frequency) transmitter at Grimeton that can be picked up all across Europe, if you happen to be a radio enthusiast and still retain a receiver (or have adapted a more modern receiver) with VLF capabilities. Radio on, Sverige!
