The week goes half and Frank Kalero (that will join us in the next edition of 180 Creative Camp) is already one of the best #180Narrator that we’ve ever had!

He is on a trip in Bolovia to shoot a documentary on Freddy Mamani‘s work, and he is, at the same time, capturing in our Instagram account beautiful and funny moments.

Frank Kalero is one of the confirmed artists on the next edition of 180 Creative Camp.

But, who is Frank Kalero?

Frank Kalero is establishing himself as an important photography curator, being the person in charge of many different festivals as the GoaPhoto, in India, the PhotoQuai, in Paris or the Getxo Photo, in Spain. In every place that he visited (Spain, India, Germany, Brazil) he published many important photography magazines (like the OjodePez or Punctum), also, he was responsible for the creation of Invaliden1 Galerie, in Berlin, along with the art magazine The World According To. (Uff!)

Recently, he created “Screen”, which aims to be a lab that “produces and distributes stories using the languages of documentary, journalism, film and art. They work across platforms to connect wide audiences with compelling subjects.”

He arrives at Abrantes in July, and now, during the third week of May, he will travel to Bolivia to shoot a documentary about Freddy Mamani, a Bolivian architect that works in a very peculiar way, to say the least.

“I was born in Porto, Portugal in 1987. I grew up filming hi8 videos and editing the tapes till the camera stopped working. One day, I stole my grandfather’s camera to film a music concert and since then, I started to film music concerts and the importance of music on my work became more and more strong. I’m now working on music videos and documentaries.”
